How do I open a work order?

If this is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911. If the request is regarding something that is causing active damage to your home, your only access gate to your community is stuck or broken, or the only elevator in your building is stuck or inoperable, please call us at 800-400-2284.

For all other requests, the fastest way to create a work order is by opening a work order on the Resident Portal at resident.actionlife.com.

You should always check whose responsibility your request falls under before opening a work order. Various items at your association could be the association's responsibility, the homeowner's responsibility, or a mixture of both.

Once logged in, you will need to decide what kind of work order request you have.

Common Area Request - For requests that are not explicitly tied to your property but impact your association. This includes requests that affect more than one specific property/unit.

Home/Unit Specific Request - For requests that only impact your home/unit and do not involve another unit or any common area elements.

Once you have identified the type of request, in the left navigation menu, for Common Area Requests, click "My Community" and then "Work Orders", or for Home/Unit Specific Requests, click on "My Home" and then "Work Orders".

Please note that any member of your association can see any open work orders for common area requests. It's always a good idea to first check if your request has already been opened by someone else in your community.

Regardless of whether you have a Common Area or Home Specific request, after you click on work orders, click "+ New" on the right side, complete the form, and submit your request by clicking "Create".

All work orders should contain a single request. If you have multiple work order requests, please open a unique request for each of them.

Please remember the more information you can provide up front, the faster we can begin to address your request.

If you would like to add an attachment to your work order, you can do so after you hit create.
